About the event
Himmeli is a traditional Finnish folk art. The term comes from the Swedish word himmel, meaning “sky” or “heaven”. These are often made around December, tied to winter holidays and the last harvest of the season. These airy geometric forms are believed to bring balance, beauty, and good fortune to the home. In this workshop, we will guide you through cutting, threading, and assembling - transforming brass tubes into fun geometric shapes with suncatching crystals. This is a great project for crafty beginners and craft connoisseurs alike!
